During the International Conference held today in Tiraspol, experts discussed key aspects and historical experience of the Jassy-Kishinev operation. Participants touched on various topics of Moldovan and Pridnestrovian history during the Great Patriotic War, in particular: resistance of the Soviet people against Romanian-German invaders, fight of clandestine groups against the invaders, particularities of Holocaust in Pridnestrovie and Moldova, and others. 

Today, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs held the meeting between the Deputy Foreign Minister Igor Schornikov with the Apostolic Nuncio to Romania and the Republic of Moldova, the Archbishop Francisco-Javier Lozano. The Ambassador of Vatican was accompanied by the Bishop and the Chancellor of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Kishinev Anton Coşa, and Eduard Vulpe.

Today, the Kishinev office of the OSCE Mission to Moldova hosted a regular meeting of representatives on political issues of Pridnestrovie and Moldova Nina Shtanski and Yevgeny Karpov. During the meeting the parties continued to discuss the existing problems of bilateral interaction. Such as prosecution of PMR’s public officials, initiatives \"On combating separatism and extremism\", being under consideration in the Parliament of Moldova, as well as problems in the use of radio spectrum. The diplomats also exchanged views on the next round of negotiations in the \"5 +2\" format.

The meeting was held with the participation of expert (working) groups on education and tax officials of the parties.

Today, the Deputy Chairperson of the Government of the PMR for International Cooperation, Foreign Minister Nina Shtanski met with journalists from Tiraspol and Kishinev in the PMR’s MFA. The theme of the briefing was \"Actual problems of the economic blockade of Pridnestrovie\".
